डेटा
टा म्हणजे अक्षरे, अंक, प्रतिमा आणि ध्वनी यांच्या
सहयोगाने निर्माण जालेली प्रक्रिया न केलेली माहीती. आपण आधी पाहीलेच आहे की
प्रक्रीया केली की या डेटाला ठोस माहीतीचे स्वरुप येते. डेटा ईलेक्ट्रोनिक
माध्यमातुन साठविला की त्याचा उपयोग सिस्टीम युनिटला थेट इनपुट देण्यासाठी होतो.
फाईलचे चार प्रकार आहेत. (खालील आक्रुती पाहा.)
डोक्युमेंट
फाईल्स : वोर्ड्प्रोसेसरकरुन डोक्युमेंट फाईल्स बनविली जाते. उद., मेमो, टर्म पेपर आणि पत्रे.
वर्कशीट
फाईल्स : अंदाजपत्रक आणि विक्रिचे आराखडे बांधण्यासाठी इलेक्ट्रोनिक स्प्रेडशीटध्वारे
वर्कशीट फाईल बनवली जाते.
डेटाबेस
फाईल्स : तपशीलवार डेटा साठविण्यासाठी डेटाबेस मैंनेजमेंट प्रोग्रामद्वारे डेटाबेस
तयार केला जातो. उदा. कर्मचार्यांचा डेटाबेस फाईलमध्येसर्व कर्मचार्यांची नावे, पैम, नंबर,कामाचे पद आणि ईतर माहीती असते.
प्रेझेंटेशन फईल : प्रेझेंटेशन
मटेरिल साठविण्यासाठी प्रेझेंटेशन ग्रफिक्स प्रोग्राम्द्वारे फाईल बनविली जाते.
उद. श्रोत्यांना ध्यावयाचे माहीतीपत्रक, वकत्याचे भाषण, आणि ईलेक्त्रोनिक स्लाइड, इ.

आक्रुती मध्ये अशीच काही उपकरणे दाखविली आहेत. बिनतारी
क्रांतिची हि तर केवळ सुरवात आहे. असं या क्षेत्रातील तज्ज्ञांचे मत आहे. या क्रांतिमुळे संपर्क यंत्रणा आणि कंप्युटरचा
वापर या दोन्हींमध्ये कमालीचा बदल होणार आहे अशी तज्ज्ञांची खात्री आहे.
नेटवर्क किंवा कंप्युटर नेटवर्क हे या
जोडनिच्या केंद्रस्थानी आहेत. नेटवर्क या संपर्क यंत्रामुळे दोन आथवा अधिक

Ta is unprocessed information created by the combination of letters, numbers, images and sounds. As we have seen before, when this process is done, this data takes the form of solid information. Data stored electronically is used to provide direct input to the system unit.
There are four types of files. (See figure below.)
Document Files: Document files are created by a word processor. E.g., memos, term papers and letters.
Worksheet files: Worksheet files are created through electronic spreadsheets to create budgets and sales plans.
Database files: Databases are created by a database management program to store detailed data. E.g. The employee database file contains all the employee names, PAMs, numbers, job positions and other information.
Presentation file: A file is created by the presentation graphics program to store the presentation material. E.g. Listeners' notebooks, speaker's speeches, and electronic slides, etc.

A microcomputer can share information with other computers. This capability comes from the connection. The widespread use of mobile as well as other wireless devices has changed the face of connectivity in the last five years. The following diagram shows some similar devices.
